End Systems Secures Work at Manchester’s new Proton Beam Therapy Facility for The Christie

We are delighted to announce End Systems are currently working on the new Proton Beam Therapy Facility at Manchester’s Christie Hospital carrying out Commissioning & Testing, Water Treatment and Preparation of the Operating & Maintenance Manuals.

The new facility will be one of only two NHS Proton Beam Therapy centres in the UK which will provide a specialist form of radiotherapy that targets certain cancers very precisely, increasing success rates and reducing side-effects. The new facility, due to open in 2018, will see up to 750 patients a year use the new unit therefore reducing the number of patients having to travel aboard.

Our complete turnkey service offering on this prestigious project also includes a pioneering deployment of our latest software development, EndBim. EndBim enables critical data held in the O&M Manual to be accessed via objects within the Building Information Model. This will give facility maintenance staff direct access to valuable O&M data via a virtual model of the MEP Services.

End Systems are proud to be working alongside Interserve on this significant project and to see the advances The Christie are making for cancer treatment
