Training development & Competencies Approach

We directly employ all members of our delivery team, ensuring full control over competency, performance, and development. Our workforce currently includes over 30 site‑based Engineers and Managers, supported by an established training and compliance infrastructure.

We place all Trainee Engineers onto the Commissioning Specialists Association (CSA) Distance Learning Course (DLC).

This approach enables trainees to gain practical, on-site commissioning experience while completing structured theory and attaining CSA‑recognised certification tailored to the commissioning discipline.

Key training typically includes:

  • IPAF
  • PASMA
  • CSCS
  • Asbestos Awareness
  • Additional commissioning‑specific or H&S qualifications as required

From Supervisor level upwards, personnel are required to achieve higher‑level Health & Safety qualifications, such as SSSTS or SMSTS, along with maintaining their trade‑specific certifications.

End Systems has been repeatedly recognised for our commitment to training, having received the Investment in Training Award across multiple years at the Commissioning Specialists Association Awards, most recently in last year’s ceremony. This reflects our long‑standing investment in developing a highly skilled, competent, and safe workforce.

Development Pathway

Trainees also complete weekly training logs, signed by their Lead Engineer and submitted for review to ensure continuous progression. In addition, six‑monthly performance and development reviews are carried out, allowing managers to monitor progress, set new targets, and allocate further training as needed.

We typically onboard two Trainee Engineers each year and forecast 30+ trainees over the next 15 years, subject to workload and resource demand.
