End Systems are now recruiting Trainee Technical Authors to work as part of a busy team of mechanical and electrical technical authors, producing mechanical and electrical operating and maintenance manuals and associated documentation for a variety of clients.

The role requires a hardworking, conscientious operative who is comfortable communicating with clients and has the capacity to understand base information such as equipment quotations, schematics and layout drawings, specifications and schedules.

The successful candidates should carry a minimum of BTEC ONC/OND in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.

Technical authorship encompasses the interpretation of building services drawings, specifications, equipment schedules and information, from which the author will produce detailed text to describe how the building services of a particular building are operated and maintained by the occupant.

Experience of technical authorship isn’t essential for this role as we would provide the relevant internal training utilising our structured and tested training programme, however a proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office is preferred.

A recent graduate who is a methodical and well organised individual with excellent time keeping would be ideally suited to the role, however, time served site engineers looking for a change of direction in their career would also be suitable. The candidate should be comfortable working within a fast paced environment that is highly focused on meeting client deadlines and producing work of an excellent standard.

The successful applicant will be rewarded with an attractive salary and associated benefits from a company of long standing that offers a career development path allowing for future progression within a fast moving and exciting business.
